How often do US Representatives get elected?
Members of the House of Representatives serve two-year terms and are considered for reelection every even year. Senators however, serve six-year terms and elections to the Senate are staggered over even years so that only about 1/3 of the Senate is up for reelection during any election. Congressional elections that fall two years into a president's term of office are nicknamed "midterm elections."

Johnny Rock, you dun broke da code, Sir. That is why many people want term limits. Let them skip a term and then try again. The time off will give them time to listen to constituents, really listen not just in townhall meetings where they are in charge and people might be inhibited in their comments.

I had to use a hint but I considered the answer to be 8 years because we never have any new faces in Congress just the same old faces year after year so it was reasonable for it to be 8 years. I guess we keep on electing the same people every other year even after they fail to deliver what the people want.

House Representatives are elected every 2 years, Senators every 6 and BOTH HOUSES make up Congress. It is amazing how the people putting together this question mucked it up!
