If you travel SSW from the Texas state capital, what is the first major city you will arrive?

Austin is the capital of Texas. The University of Texas is there. Take I-35 South South West to San Antonio about 80 Miles.

If you start from the wrong city you'll not get the right answer. This question is really to see if you know the capital of Texas.

San Marcos is between Austin and San Antonio, but most people have never heard of it.

Easy for me having been stationed in San Antonio twice. If you have to be in Texas, San Antonio is the place to be. Went through pre-flight training there at Lackland AFB in 1957. Made friends I still have to this day.

The question is really not about knowing the capital of Texas its more about knowing Texas. I knew the capital but I actually have no idea where it is on a map. I guessed is all.
