In the movie "2001: a Space Odyssey", in what US city was the computer, HAL 9000, manufactured?
After astronaut Dave Bowman successfully gains re-entry into the Discovery spaceship by utilizing the emergency airlock, he proceeds to the logic memory center of the ships' computer. As HAL's logic is gradually removed by Dave Bowman, it begins to recall when and where it was first activated and it states it became operational on January 12, 1992 at the HAL Laboratories in Urbana, Illinois. As the computer's logic is further removed, it starts to sing the first song it learned, "Daisy Bell".

Actually, I remember coming out of the theater confused. I didn't hear the answer so I had to resort to guessing. For me it came down to Urbana and Flushing and I chose Urbana.
