In 2009, Sandra Bullock (born 1964) starred in a biographical sports drama film ‘The Blind Side’. For her performance in the film she received an Academy Award for Best Actress.

The film tells the story of Michael Oher, an American football offensive lineman who overcame an impoverished upbringing to play in the National Football League (NFL) with the help of his adoptive parents Sean and Leigh Anne Truohy. In the film, Tim McGraw (born 1967) played Sean Tuohy and Sandra Bullock played Leigh Anne. Quinton Aaron (born 1984) played Oher.

The real Michael Oher (born 1986) is a former American football offensive tackle who played in the NFL for 8 seasons, primarily with the Baltimore Ravens, He played college football at Mississippi, where he earned unanimous All-American honors. He also played for the Tennessee Titans and the Carolina Panthers.

The movie’s plot follows the transition of Oher’s who is a 17 year old boy. He has been in foster care with different families due to his mother’s drug addiction. When he is invited to life with the Tuohy family, he is advised to use his size and strength to protect his quarterback in the game of football (American).

Eventually he is admitted to the University of Mississippi and plays for the college’s team.

Sandara Bullock is an American actress and producer who has been included in ’Time’s’ 100 most influential people in the world in 2010 and was named ‘People’s’ Most Beautiful Woman in 2015.
