A Melbourne icon, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl is an outdoor entertainment centre situated in the Kings Domain in Melbourne, Australia.

Businessman and philanthropist Sidney Myer inspired the construction after having visited the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Himself a lover of music who played the violin, Myer began open air concerts with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in 1929. These free concerts continue with the Bowl hosting two or three concerts per year.

After Myer's death, funding for the construction came from the Sidney Myer Fund. It was officially opened by the then Prime Minister of Australia, Robert Menzies on 12 February 1959.

Seating under the "shell" can accommodate around 2,000 people, however as it is an out door concert hall, 11,000 have been counted spread out on the lawns around the Bowl.
