The Hudson Hornet is in the picture. This well-known car with unique design, streamlined styling and silky handling was produced in Detroit and Kenosha between 1951 and 1957. Hudson was a proud name in North American automobiles for almost 50 years.

The first-generation Hudson Hornets featured a functional "step-down" design with dropped floorpan and a chassis with a lower center of gravity than contemporary vehicles that helped the car handle well – a bonus for racing. Actually, Hudson's handling was considered to be the best of any American car of those times.
