The flow of water over Niagara Falls was stopped completely for several months in 1969. The idea was to determine the feasibility of removing the large amount of loose rock from the base of the falls to enhance it’s appearance. In the end, the final decision was that the expense to remove any rocks from the base of Niagara Falls would be too great.

The question is ridiculous because the falls stopped several times over the years, especially in 1848 when they stopped and scientists didn't know why at first! So, for this question there could be several answers!

Reading the four words "Cheap walk in Bath" ( in the advert above) as the last word begins with a capital "B" and there is no hyphen between the second and third letter, it could be construed as a cheap walk in the city of Bath, in England. When the pilgrim Fathers left England to settle in America, they must have forgotten to pack their books about Grammar.

Yep - we loved it and so did the children!! (This was back when they WERE children . . . ) But we all loved it!! (I didn't know they had ever deliberately stopped the flow!! I did know it had frozen a couple of times. . . . )
