Little Rock is a city located in Pulaski County, state Arkansas. Little Rock serves as the state capital and the county seat of Pulaski. The city is located on the south bank of the Arkansas river, where it was incorporated on the 7th of November, 1831. The name comes from a rock formation "La Petite Roche" (it was named so by the French in 1799) along the river. Little Rock is situated almost in the very geographic center of the state.

About 194 thousand people live in Little Rock, the most populous city of the state. A lot of tourists come visit the city every year. Many important cultural and governmental establishments of the state are in Little Rock, as well as many economic organisations. The only zoo in the state is also located in Little Rock. Visitors usually go hiking and boating and enjoy the historic sites of Little Rock, such as Little Rock Central High School (founded in 1869). Little Rock cultural attractions include the Arkansas Arts Center, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, and many other places to visit.

The city is always associated with Bill Clinton, as he became the governor of Arkansas at the age of 32. He and his family lived in Little Rock for more than 12 years. Bill's daughter Chelsea was born there.
