What is the capital of South Dakota?

The population of this small town was 13,646 at the 2010 census. Pierre is considered the second least populous state capital of the U.S.
Its area is also very small (approximately 34 km2). Despite being tiny, the town provides its citizens with real, peaceful and secure life. Pierre is one of the most low-crime places in the country.
Note from history: Founded in 1880, Pierre has been the capital since 1889, having been chosen for its location in the geographic center of the state.

i was pretty sure they were all in A Dakota and I know where a few things are in the Dakota's but not many. Got this one on a guess.

I think they should remove the commenet section...I will come here to make a statement, then leave. Every now and then I take the time to see what others say, but a lot of people need to chill...what is the matter? No dog to kick? Kids all grown up and far away?...its a good place to learn.
