What is the currency of Russia?

The ruble or rouble is a unit of currency of various countries in Eastern Europe and is closely associated with the economy of Russia. Currently, the currency units of Belarus, Russia (including several territories with Russian military presence: Crimea, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria), and, in the past, the currency units of several other countries, notably countries influenced by Russia and the Soviet Union, are named rubles, though they are all different currencies. One ruble is divided into 100 kopeck.

As of July 2019, kopecks are not used. Also, there is nothing that one can buy for one rouble. Cheapest bread is 30 roubles, cheapest milk is 70 rubles. The exchange rate is 63 rubles for 1 US Dollar.

Found about at 1000 rubles in my father in law's effects. 1943-5 he was stationed in Moscow at the US Embassy. Sold them on eBay to a collector in Kiev. Apparently they aren't worth much!
