What is the largest fast food chain in the United States?
Surprisingly, Subway is the winner with 25,903 U.S. locations around the U.S. McDonald's is number two on the list, with 14,157 locations, followed by Pizza Hut (7,756) and Dunkin' Donuts (7,200).

There are a number of ways to describe 'biggest' in this question. There needs to be a clarifier. Financially, locations, served, etc.!!!! Otherwise it is ambiguous and could be misconstrued! Need better guidelines for question reviews due to this type of issue!!

By the way, Star$$ is not a fast food chain. It's a coffee house chain.

Wendy Wilkins Valdez, Starbucks and Dunkin" are not fast food chains. And Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has better coffee anyway!

The information from ezlocal.com is four years out of date. Information from worldatlas.com updated on May 30, 2017, shows McDonalds #1 and Subway now in third place. Due to the more recent information and the ambiguity of the question, you should either remove points given or award points to all participants.

Question not written to illicit the desired answer. Is it locations? Then fast food chain having the most US locations should be question.

Your link is dated 2012 which is out of date. Please define largest as it is confusing. I believe McDonald's is the largest now.

I agree with the other comments, there should be a clearer parameter as to what aspect it is larger or largest....

"What fast food restaurant has the most locations in the US?" Maybe that is Subway. But, McDonald's with less stores has about 3 times the revenue.

I said McDonald's, I see then when I travel in other countries. I have never seen a Subway. 57% of other people thought the same. What gives Quizz folks?

Stoic Kitty, not that here. But Subway restaurants are franchise so often they employ the cheapest staff. Like teenagers. McDonalds are like that too. Big different when you go to a Burger King or a McDonald. Or here we have Max and they have both better staff and better products. And they care for the environment too. They have many environment friendly products.

Nancy S. Lloyd, no it is not very healthy. They just use that word to get people like you to buy a very medioker product. You can make better sandwiches yourself, and for a much better price.
