What is the name of the new law that is replacing No Child Left Behind?

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) was signed by President Obama on December 10, 2015, and represents good news for our nation’s schools. This bipartisan measure reauthorizes the 50-year-old Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), the nation’s national education law and longstanding commitment to equal opportunity for all students.

The new law builds on key areas of progress in recent years, made possible by the efforts of educators, communities, parents, and students across the country.

I received this question today, a little over 2 years after the "new law that is replacing" no child left behind was signed into law. Questions that reference these kind of events need to have a date included in them. Of course now (2018), the new laws might be "no private schools deprived of taxpayer dollars."

You mean actually 'standards are lowered to make it look like every child succeeds', don't you?

We have so many issues with our education system. One of the biggest is, what does educational success mean? Not all children are going to be able to succeed if we define success as getting A and B grades. We need to redefine success and teach to children's strengths. School should never make any child feel like a failure.

Barry Crews, Every kid gets ribbons, if not trophies, for simple participation in physical activities regardless of success, and that, of course, has led to phenomable performance by everyone in all sports. Applying it to academics should, of course, result in a population of geniouses, right? 😉🫠

A new law? Where? I have no problem with American, European, British or anywhere in the world questions, but give us a chance, were necessary, by stating the country.
