The Packard Clipper was first introduced in 1941. The 1956 model was the Clipper the marque for Packard. The plant where it was originally built was in Detroit Michigan , the Packard plant closed down in 1956. In 1957 the Clipper name was carried over to the Indiana Factory for the last year the Clipper Packard was produced.

Clippers began having unique and rare quarter panels and trim starting in 1954. In 1955, Packard introduced their new redesigned model of the Packard clipper, this model included the new two tone paint job. The Studebaker Packard company was in financial trouble by the summer of 1956. The problem in 1956 the Packard Clippers were not selling anywhere close to making a profit.

Another interesting fact about the Packard Clipper that you may not know is that The Clipper Packard was assembled in Australia in 1955. All in all this is a very cool car especially once they came out with the model that had two tone paint jobs.
