What state does not have a national park?
Delaware is the only state in the country that does not have a national park of the National Park Service. This fact might come as a surprise to the visitors who have flocked to the state's beautiful nature and historic sites for generations.

Wrong!! Technically, not every state has a national park. There are twenty-three states who have no designated National Park, and the District of Columbia also does not have a national park. Those states are: Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachuesetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, DC, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Wrong! All states in the U.S., DC, Virgin Islands, Samoa, Saipan, and Puerto Rico have at least one unit of the National Park System. There are 63 units of the NPS that have the title "national park". The way the question is written, the writer seems to consider each unit of the NPS a national park (as do I, a retired NPS ranger). In that case, the answer is "none of the above" If we are talking just those national park sites called national parks, then the answer is "all of the above have no national parks". Boild down to semantics and point of reference.

I think National Historic Parks and the National Seashore in MA are national parks, which would make this answer correct.

Kudos, Bill Coe! You are absolutely correct! Furthermore, ALL of the given options are states with no National Park. This question should be either removed from active status or CORRECTED. But I doubt that either option will be taken. QuizzClub is becoming quite lax in such matters.

Bill Coe, District of Columbia isn't a state. It doesn't count.

Bill Coe, You invited at least 2 commenters to report that all of the options were actually correct. When I clicked on the down thumb I was surprised to see that the up thumb showed 0 and the down thumb showed only 2. I don't know if anyone reported it, but (not that anything will result) I did submit a report.

not in the national park service. Delaware is the only state in the country that does not have a national park, national monument, national historic site or any other unit of the National Park Service.

In December 2014, Congress approved the First State National Historical Park Act of 2013 as part of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015, creating the first and only national park in Delaware.

Really tired of inaccurate comments. First State National Historical Park in Delaware established 2014 is a (read slowly now) National HISTORICAL Park, NOT a National Park. Do some research.

National Park and National Historic Park are two different things. Deleware does not have a National Park. But, by the same token, neither do any of the other answer options.

I hope you hit the red button on the top right and reported this. And Deleward does now have a National HISTORIC Park, not a National Park. First State National Historical Park in Delaware established in 2014.

It is not a National Park. It is a National Historic Park. Totally different.
