What state is known as "The Last Frontier State"?
Alaska is the largest and coldest state. Because of weather conditions, it is not heavily populated, but nature compensates with great natural scenic beauty, such as The Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes. The state is also famous for its folk music festivals and dog sled racing events, such as the Iditarod.
