What state is nicknamed the yellowhammer state?

Alabama, a southeastern state of the US, is nicknamed the Yellowhammer State. It comes from the name of the state bird, the yellowhammer. This bird is of a medium size (10 to 15 inches in height). The color of its feathers varies from gray-brown to yellow with black touches. The male ones have black mustaches.

Lived in AL for 20 years since retirement and have never seen a yellowhammer. I've seen lots of Northern Mockingbirds, a flock of Robins twice a year as they migrate south, then north. And I've seen one woodpecker pecking on our wood-grained aluminum siding.
