What was the first individually wrapped penny candy in the United States?
The first individually-wrapped and sold penny candy in the United States was the Tootsie Roll, which was introduced in 1896. The candy was invented by Leo Hirshfield, an Austrian immigrant living in New York City. He named the candy after his daughter, whose nickname was "Tootsie."

tdelisi, it's the got nothing better to do club who thinks they don't like him for any reason they choose. Nothing to do with his question just they think they own the quiz club. Many of us thumbs up on our people to keep them from making the person disappear.
