You only need to look at our current political status and you quickly see how nothing gets done, nothing gets accomplished, nothing can be agreed upon for the common good of the nation, the individual! It is all about your party! All about the money that ensures your politician can continue to do business as usual, get elected, support his party, support the big money that paid for his election/re-election campaign! Where the hell is the effort being made to make life better for me, for you the very people who actually vote, who pay taxes, who work hard every day, every night, who pay attention, who read, who listen, who care about where this nation is going to and how we are going to get where we want this nation to go???????????????

Your link takes you noplace. While I got the answer correct, I can't find anythng to say the Federalist party was first. What I find is that the Federalist party and the anti-Federalists (aka Democratic-Republicans) was formed at the same time, resulting in the first two party system. Of the answers listed, the Federalist Party is certainly correct. I love all political questions because of all the trolls they bring out. Reading all the comments, you'd have to laugh, if it wasn't so horribly sad.

This is a general remark, I consider myself a Democrat at heart, but a Republican my party affiliation. It is regrettable, but people seem to have lost the meaning of the word Democrat. It is a Greek word, that when taken apart and translated it means: Demos = the people and cratos = the country, err to, the people working together not only for their own good, but for the country's as well; not the country being taken advantage of and working for the people, especially those that are cheating and accepting what they are not entitled to.
