What was the name of the prominent glee club in the TV series "Glee" ?

New Directions is a glee club originating at William McKinley High School. It is given the name of "New Directions" after Will takes over the group. The group wins Sectionals for the three years it is led by Will, and although they place third at the 2010 Regions, they place first at 2011 Regions with the original songs: Get It Right and Loser Like Me. They also get to first place at 2012 Regions consisting of three songs; two performed by New Directions, and a third sung by the former Troubletones.

It has been seven gleeful years since Will, Rachel, Finn, Quinn, Kurt, Sue, Brittany, Santana, Tina and Artie put on red ties and became New Directions. The key focus of Glee is the students in New Directions (the glee club). The relationships of students as couples, their love of singing and desire for popularity coming into conflict due to their membership in the low status club, and the many vicissitudes of life in high school and as a teenager are reviewed.

After 121 episodes and over 728 music performances, Glee came to an end on television on March 20, 2015.
