The ottoman empire occured during the spread of Islam the birth of Muhammed occured in 1432 and his mission began 33 years later unlike Jesus whose mission ended at 33 years old. So the dates do line up as the caliphate spread through Byzantine

I think not near enough has been taught in Western education, with regards to the vast accomplishments of the Ottoman Empire. Developments in science, engineering, architecture and mathmatics, just to name a few, can be traced back to the innovations of the Ottomans.

Actually - the end of the ROMAN empire. the "Byzantine empire" never existed. They referred to themselves as Romans, and their empire as the Roman Empire.
