When did Buddy Holly die?

What do you know about the day the music died? Buddy was just 22 years old when he was killed in a plane crash.

The tragedy took place on the 3rd of February, 1959.

Tired of enduring broken-down buses, Holly chartered a private plane to take him from a show in Clear Lake to the tour's next stop. Holly was joined by fellow performers. The plane crashed within minutes of leaving the ground killing all aboard.

Such a tragic & sad event. Didn't Ricky Valance (sp.) also die in that plane crash? I think he was only 17. Horrible weather conditions & a really small plane, not something I would have done but I remember when I was young & thought I was invincible. RIP 💜💗💛💝
