Twitter was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Noah Glass and launched by July 2006. The service rapidly gained worldwide popularity, with more than 100 million users who in 2012 posted 340 million tweets per day.

I d k . if you stay home playing games on fb it keeps you off the streets getting in trouble. And I'd say that's no life- prison isn't fun

the news here just had a story on twitter saying that they have been around since 2006 otherwise I would have never got that right , twitter never used it myself but it must be popular to be on the news as a real news story lol lol.
