When will Halley's Comet next be visible to the naked eye?
Halley's comet will next appear in the night sky in the year 2062. It orbits the sun every 75-76 years, so this is the time between its appearances. The magnificent phenomenon was first recorded by Edmund Halley in 1682.
It was seen again in 1758, 1835, 1910, and 1986.

2061. The next predicted perihelion of Halley's Comet is 28 July 2061, when it is expected to be better positioned for observation than during the 1985–1986 apparition, as it will be on the same side of the Sun as Earth.
