Where is the annual New Year's Eve ball drop held?

December, 31: It's the last day of the year!

A particularly striking aspect of the New Year's Eve festivities is the ball drop in Times Square in Manhattan, New York City. The ball is made of crystal and electric lights and is placed on top of a pole, which is 77 feet, or 23 meters, high. At one minute before midnight on December 31, the ball is lowered slowly down the pole. It comes to rest at the bottom of the pole at exactly midnight. The event is shown on television across the United States and around the world. The event has been held every year since 1907, except during World War II.

You can go to the Greenwich Observatory in London and the Nelson Monument in Edinburgh and see the time balls drop at 1o'clock each day. In Edinburgh,also at 1o'clock,a gun on the battlements of the castle fires a (blank) shot.

But now remember History is no longer taught it is Social Studies, so 9/11 never happened to them, but I live 45-60 minutes from NYC and I know it happened. and why have a charge to even go into the memorial of the biggest graveyard in the US? Because not only Adults died but several hundred children died too.

Well William there are some of us Americans who dont know how many ststes we have, or who wrote the Declaration of Independence, or what president was in battle during the Civil War, so I am not surprised not a lot of us so called Americans knows who wrote our National Anthem.
