Which country is the largest producer of sugar cane?
This type of grass is cultivated throughout the whole world. But for sure, in some countries the production of this "sweet" plant is well-run due to better conditions (soil, climate, etc).
Nowadays more than 65% of sugar is produced exactly from this species of grass. The biggest and the most modern plantations are located in South America, India and some Asian countries.
What are your thoughts on this subject?

Brenda S Lee Brazil has the largest biofuel economy in the world and along with the USA are the largest exporters. We could be like Brazil here in the USA but BIG OIL owns us. SAD!

Ruben Pages, actually that’s not entirely correct, if so how would you explain how corn gets used to make the ethanol/gasoline we use? If sugar cane could be grown here they would, but for some reason it cannot.
