Which luxury designer brand is famous for creating shoes with red soles?
In 1993 designer, Christian Louboutin, frustrated after having tried different things to liven up a shoe design spontaneously grabbed his assistant's red nail polish and painted the sole of a prototype shoe. He instantly knew that this would be a success.
Since then, the red bottoms of Louboutin shoes have become an iconic status symbol. One will pay a hefty price tag for those soles, however, with Louboutins starting at $695 for a pair of signature pumps.

Sounds like the red soles took his bank account out of the red.

This is a recently asked question, it is a repeat. I know this because I made a comment regarding the sex and the City episode thinking that it was Louboutins and got a reply that it was manolos and I agreed.
