Which of these US Presidents is sculptured on Mount Rushmore?
Mount Rushmore National Memorial, also known as “Shrine of Democracy”, is a sculpture carved into the southeastern granite face of Mount Rushmore in South Dakota’s Black Hills National Forest. The sculpture represents gigantic 60-foot faces of the four US presidents: George Washington (1732–1799), Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826), Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919), and Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865).
The sculpture was created by Danish-American sculptor Gutzon Borglum and his son, Lincoln Borglum. They start working on the project in 1927, attracting more than four hundred workers. The work had been completed by 1941. Nowadays more than 2 million visitors come to see it every year.

Theda Davis, Fair point. I appreciate the reminder. The Crazy Horse memorial in the Black Hills of South Dakota is even more remarkable to behold. Started in 1948, work on the world’s largest sculpture is still underway. Intended to honor Tasunke Witko, the Oglala Lakota warrior who resisted the U.S. government land grab & was instrumental in defeating Custer’s Seventh Cavalry at the Battle of the Little Big Horn, there are native Americans who find the treatment of the land objectionable.

What an awesome experience to visit this memorial. And the Black Hills are so beautiful. This is a veteran's memorial, not a state or federal park. The night ceremonies are geared to our active duty members of our armed forces as well as all our veterans. If you love America, please, go see Mount Rushmore. It is worth the the time to see.

Beautiful area. The drive included the Badlands - surreal - and the winding road down from Mt Rushmore had mountain goats, fox, porcupines - wildlife of all descriptions mulling about on the roadside. I was utterly transfixed.
