Who is the first actor to appear in both "Star Wars" and "The Lord of the Rings" films?
Anthony Daniels is the first actor to appear in both a Star Wars film and a Lord of the Rings adaptation, by having played C-3PO in Star Wars, and voicing Legolas in Ralph Bakshi's The Lord of the Rings. Other crossover actors include Paul Brooke (the Rancor keeper, who also voiced Grima Wormtongue in the BBC radio adaptation), Christopher Lee (who played Count Dooku and Saruman), Marton Csokas (who played Celeborn and was the original voice of Poggle the Lesser), Kiran Shah (who played an Ewok, and was the scale double for Elijah Wood and Ian Holm), and Bruce Spence (who played Tion Medon and the Mouth of Sauron).

not only is it a voice over it isn't Lord of the Rings films. It was a cartoon based on Lord of the Rings. The answer and the question do not mach.

I didn't know you could see sound without equipment , so an appearance seems unlikely

Yeah, I detested that cartoon (NOT animation) and couldn't wait for a live version.. Had no idea at the time when and how they would make it but once star wars came on the scene I knew eventually there would be a day when an awesome live version would appear.. I made it a point to buy the released DVD's when they came out so that I could relive the awesomness in the same manner that many do with "It's a wonderful life"..
