At age 82, Christopher Plummer became the oldest actor to win an Oscar in 2011 for his performance in Beginners. Beginners is a 2010 American romantic comedy drama film written and directed by Mike Mills. It tells the story of Oliver, a man reflecting on the life and death of his father. Because of his role in Beginners, Christopher Plummer received numerous accolades. However, the 2011 Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his 2010 movie performance was a high point for the actor.
