Yvonne De Carlo (September 1, 1922 – January 8, 2007) was a Canadian-American actress, singer, and dancer whose fruitful and brilliant career in film, television, and musical theater spanned six decades.

Walter Wanger, the producer of the 1945 film Salome, Where She Danced considered Yvonne the most beautiful girl on the planet. Her work in this film became a breakthrough for a young actress. Success followed her as she appeared in such films as Criss Cross (1949), The Captain's Paradise (1953) and The Ten Commandments (1956). The last film mentioned is considered Yvonne's most successful experience in the film industry. Anyway, the talented actress remained popular and recognized throughout her life.
