Who is this?

George Peppard was born on the 1st of October, 1928. He was an American film and television actor. Do you remember Paul Varjak from "Breakfast at Tiffany's"? That is his most famous film role. He starred alongside Audrey Hepburn and was boosted briefly to a major film star.

He also played the title role of millionaire insurance investigator and sleuth Thomas Banacek in the mystery TV series "Banacek". However, in his later works he never managed to duplicate the success of 1961.

Peppard died on the 8th of May, 1994 at the age of 65.

Yes, loved him in Breakfast, Carpetbaggers, etc... but a lesser-known movie of his I loved was “Home From the Hill” also starring Robert Mitchum, Eleanor Parker, and George Hamilton... one of my favorites, a real tear-jerker!

Yes I remember Mr. Peppard on the Carpetbaggers and My favorite show which was Banacek and also on The A-Team great actor gone too soon.

Though not overly fond of the gentleman, I think he deserves more than a mere blip of information in the answer. He was appreciated in his television career. I watched his show and enjoyed it. There must be other appreciable things that he did worth mentioning. Do your job more thoroughly or don't bother. Dianne
