Who received the 10 Commandments from God (Also Known As - Jehovah or Yahweh)?
Biblical scholars say that Moses received the 10 Commandments from God on Mt. Sinai. Moses made one 40 day trip up the mountain to talk face to face with God. God then wrote his Commandments on 2 tablets of stone. When Moses went back down the mountain the Israelites had made an idol out of gold and were worshiping it.
Moses was angry and threw down the tablets breaking them. He then made another 40 day journey up the mountain and God made a second set of tablets containing His commandments for Israel. We can read the whole story in more detail in Exodus - Chapter 20. There is, also, an excellent movie starring Charlton Heston that describes the life of Moses and his many feats.

I don't know how a simple question on a quiz site can turn into such a hate fest. People are entitled to their own beliefs. If you want to believe in a God of creation, that is your right and you should not be belittled for your beliefs. Conversely, if you want to think of the Bible as a nice fairy tale, then that again is your right and you should not be castigated and threatened with hellfire and damnation. This whole post has gone from the ridiculous to the sublime.

I did not read all the comments because I figured it would be hate-filled, so this comment is for all of you.
If you are a believer and have said anything mean or rude to non-believers, stop it. Especially if you claim to be a Christian. You are setting a bad example and you harm all of Christianity. You can profess your faith without bringing others down.
If you are a non-believer, that's fine too. You also do not need to be mean or rude to believers. We are all entitled to our opinions. I know many fine people who are atheists, I used to be one. You can make your point without putting people down, too.
Would you talk like this to a new person you just met? Maybe a new co-worker? Don't hide behind your keyboard. Have a discussion, leave your comments. Just do it as if you are face-to-face with a stranger and treat each other with kindness.

Michael DeSantis This country cannot turn BACK to something we never were.
If we were to turn to "true Christian values", we'd all be liberals. We'd be more accepting of each other and our differences, we'd make less judgments about one another, we'd give more generously to the poor, ie welfare, medicaid, food stamps, wed make sure everyone had access to the best medical coverage there is, we wouldn't gouge on the price of prescription medicine, we'd accept more immigrants and refugees, we'd make sure our elderly were all well cared for, and we'd raise our minimum wage to a living wage, and CEOS wouldn't take the lion's share of salaries and bonuses paid to employees who help make the profits. In short, we'd all be more like Christ.
We cannot be conservative if we are to be like Christ. He was a liberal. Basically, you are longing for a more liberal nation and I agree with you.

The name Yahweh, is actually a pronounced version of the Hebrew consonants YHWH ( יהוה), they are part of the tetragrammaton (four letters) that the Hebrews believed to be God's name. In those days, the works of God were classified as his name (i.e. Elohim ( He Creates), El Roi (He Sees) or HaShem (He Blesses)). Jehovah became an English spoken version of the name in the 16th century, due to the Latin Iehouah.

Laurie Johnson Gonzalez has the most reasoned response. I've never seen such vitriol over such a simple question

Michael DeSantis Really? The "LIBERAL MEDIA"? That's rich! If the media are so liberal, why are they carping about dead issues that HRC has been cleared of and igoring the many documented scandals of Drumpf? If the media were so liberal, don't you think Hillary would be painted as a saint and Drumpf as Satan himself? This so-called "liberal media" wants a close horserace in order to sell papers, magazines, and ad time on television and radio. This "liberal media" has made Drumpf the viable candidate so many of his minions seem to think he is.
The fact is, Drumpf as a viable candidate is a myth CREATED by the media.
He is totally unqualified to sit in the Oval office. He lacks governmental experience, he is uninformed, he is xenophobic and a racist, and he can't even understand why we don't use our nukes around the world! Remember when being interviewed, he said Putin, his hero, would never invade the Crimea? The interviewer had to remind him it had already happened!
HRC, on the other hand served 10 years as a governor's wife, 8 years as First Lady, 8 years as a US Senator from New York, and 4 years as Secretary of State. She understands how government works and is eminently qualified to sit in the Oval Office, yet somehow, your "liberal media" paint them as equally qualified.
Something tells me you are one of those uninformed conservatives!

Mark Hamilton I do not believe Ben Totutus is an agnostic. Agnostics question whether god exists or not. Ben questions nothing. He denies the existence of god, making him an atheist.

Love it or hate it, that is your own individual choice, because we were all gifted with Free Will from our Creator. God does not force anyone to love him or to serve him. Whether y'all choose to not believe in Jehovah God does not mean you're right. Jesus said that the last days of this system of things would be similar to what happened in Noah's day. Most people refused to believe in a God that was preparing to cleanse the earth of all the badness at that time. Noah tried to tell them exactly what was going to happen and how they could save themselves by joining his family to help complete it's construction, then get onto the ark along with them. All those people except for 8 died in the flood. Jesus said the same thing would happen in the time of the end. We can either learn from the past or ignore it, but y'all should at least make a careful examination of the Bible and see what it has to say before you judge anyone. (Matthew 24:36-39) visit JW.ORG

I climbed Mount Sinai with a group of people. We started at 2 am in order to get to the top for sunrise.Took us 4 hours, not 40 days. The view was breathtaking. But no one really knows if this is the original mount Sinai.
