Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the all time leader with 38,387 points. He played 20 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers. During his career as a center, Abdul-Jabbar was a record six-time NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP), a record 19-time NBA All-Star, a 15-time All-NBA selection, and an 11-time NBA All-Defensive Team member. A member of six NBA championship teams as a player and two as an assistant coach, Abdul-Jabbar twice was voted NBA Finals MVP. In 1996, he was honored as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History.

This question is very ambiguous. Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points in a single game against the Knicks in 1962. That record might never be broken!

Kareem is in second place now. LeBron James became the total scoring on 7 February 2023, on a night that James' Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 133-130. James scored 38 points that night. At the end of the 2022-2023 season he had 38,652 points.
