Who was Albert R. Broccoli?

Did you remember his name from James Bond movies? Albert Romolo Broccoli (1909-1996) was an American film producer who just happened to be the producer of many of the James Bond movies. His nickname was "Cubby" not unfitting for someone of his girth. He and Harry Saltzman took the relatively low budget origins to multi million dollar extravaganzas. His heirs continued making Bond movies after his death.Most films were made in England at Pinewood Studios. His first James Bond thriller was Dr. No in 1962.

Mr. Broccoli hand picked Sean Connery, who was the essence of James Bond in look and style! No other actor to portray Bond has come close! There was always a confident strong edge to Mr. Connery's performance that rang so true with fans!

My favorite Bond was Roger Moore, being so extraordinarily handsome, and second, was Pierce Brosnan. Sean Connery was good but later he lost his looks and was always wearing a toupe which I didn't care for. With a female bond possibly being cast I think it would be a terrible mistake and I do like Daniel Craig but I guess he is almost done playing the role. The role is supposed to be a man so find a different role for a lady. It would ruin the whole character.
