Yuri Gagarin was the first cosmonaut; he was the person who first ventured to enter outer space. More than 50 years have passed since the 12th of April, 1961. Nevertheless, even today people remember the courageous man who broke the borders of the earthly atmosphere.

Gagarin spent 1 hour and 48 minutes orbiting the Earth. This time appears to be miserable in comparison with norms of current space traveling. But 54 years ago the event was of great importance and it automatically made Yuri Gagarin the hero of his mother country, the Soviet Union. Moreover, his contribution to space explorations is honestly evaluated all over the world.
