Who won the first Indianapolis 500 automobile race in 1911?

It should be noted that Harroun is credited with the first use of the rear view mirror in racing and at this 1911 event. It allowed him forego the use of a riding “mechanic” as well.

I looked this up several years ago, as I had somehow convinced myself that Barney Oldfield won the first ever Indy 500. Since he wasn't one of the choices, he obviously couldn't have done that. Oldfield may have won the race in 1921.
