"Til I Can Make It on My Own" is a song co-written and first recorded by American country music artist Tammy Wynette. It was released in January 1976 as the first single and title track from the "Til I Can Make It on My Own". The song would become Tammy Wynette's fifteenth number one on the country charts. The single stayed at number one for one week and spent a total of eleven weeks on the country charts. Wynette noted on multiple occasions that the song was her personal favourite of all that she had written or recorded, and it would remain a staple of her concerts for the remainder of her career. Wynette wrote the song with George Richey and Billy Sherrill.
