Hitler took up residence in the Führerbunker on 16 January 1945, and it became the centre of the Nazi regime until the last week of World War II in Europe.

Hitler married Eva Braun in the "Führerbunker" on 29 April 1945. Eva Braun (6 February 1912 – 30 April 1945). As Nazi Germany was collapsing towards the end of the war, Braun went to Berlin to be by his side in the "Führerbunker".
