What President of the United States attended but never graduated Law School?
Franklin Delano Roosevelt graduated from Harvard in 1903 with an A.B. in history. He entered Columbia Law School in 1904 but dropped out in 1907 after passing the New York bar exam. In 1908, he took a job with the prestigious law firm of Carter, Ledyard & Milburn, working in the firm's admiralty law division.
Not all US Presidents were lawyers, and not all went to a college, but FDR was still a student at Columbia Law School when he passed the New York Bar exam, and dropped out of school. He knew his subject, since many graduates never passed their state bar exam, even after several tries.
FDR was the only President to serve more than two terms as Chief Executive and was the main reason for the passage of the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, which limited presidents to two terms in office. He died after his fourth election of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1945.
