"Gold" is a single released by the band in 1983, taken from their third album, "True". The music and lyrics are written by the band's guitarist, Gary Kemp, and was produced by the Partnership of Steve Jolley and Tony Swain. Upon release, the song became Spandau Ballet's second-highest charting single in both the UK and the US, behind their previous release "True", and also reached #29 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
