Honey bees, scientifically also known as Apis mellifera, which mean "honey-carrying bee", are environmentally friendly and are vital as pollinators. It is the only insect that produces food eaten by man. The honey bee's wings stroke incredibly fast, about 200 beats per second, thus making their famous, distinctive buzz. A honey bee can fly for up to six miles, and as fast as 15 miles per hour.

I love watching them hen their little bodies are covered in pollen. They can barely make from flower to flower, but, they always make it back to the hive. Unless they encounter a car going 80. My dad always said, "I'll bet they won't have guts enough to do that again!" We always called them sweet windshield pizza.
