A living tree never stops growing
Trees never stop growing. A tree needs to grow in order to survive, that's just the way they are made. Humans and most other animals can stop growing after reaching a pre-set ideal size and just maintain themselves by repairing damage.
Trees however can only repair damage by adding a new layer of growth around the outside of the trunk. They have no mechanism to actually repair internal damage the way that humans do. That processof laying down new growth is why we can see growth rings in trees. And because they need to lay down that new layer of growth they need to also grow bigger trunks regularly. If a tree ever stops growing it will be unable to repair itself and it will die.

Because the way a tree grows. When you cut it down you can not only see how its life has been but also how old it is & what the weather was like. Was it a dry or wet year, did it get enough food. Was there other adverse conditions.

The facts that have been stated by a tree's life cycle, is very good information. The only thing that was mentioned in the write-up, is the fact that besides the many uses of a tree, in most products. Trees, are also known to provide oxygen as well.

Even a mature tree will repair itself if its damaged and the roots of an ancient tree will continue to grow seeking water. So yes a living tree even a very old one will continue to grow maybe not hight or bulk but in the ways I discussed.

Because if it wasn't for God creating the trees there wouldn't be any or for that matter, anything. Even you wouldn't exist. I'm tired of people leaving God OUT of everything.

I was doing some reaserch on forestry, jungle etc for my book. I was amazed and sad at the amount in f trees that are cut down each day. In Brazil it mentioned 27k trees are cut down to make toilet paper. And the amount of land cleared in Sumartra for companies to grow palm trees to make cooking oil. More than half its land has been cleared over the last 20 yrs.

krkyates, if the root space is restricted the plant will not grow upwards so it stays dwarf

krkyates, because their roots are regularly cut to keep the tree from growing taller, but its trunk does get thicker.
