That translates his length of life to 74.5 years, which is far more in line with average life expectancy in that time period as well as within the range of a normal human lifespan.

Wendy Emlinger, minor problem with your argument: the Jewish calendar is mostly 12 months a year. It follows what is known as a metonic cycle of 19 years. 12 out of the 19 years are 12 months and 7 are 13 months. The count begins on Anno Mundi, Creation, which according to the Jewish calendar was 5781 years ago.

969 divided by 12 months = 80.7 years

Louella Wilson, This is very true. But it's not as interesting as the number 73. It is the 31st prime number, and reverse it to get 37, which is the 13th prime number. There's also something interesting about the binary system concerning it but I didn't record that episode of "The Big Bang Theory" and certainly couldn't work it out for myself!

Biblical age may be different than it is now plus, we need to figure out the different things they didn't have killing the body like, cigarettes, cholesterol, heart disease and they were also fresh out of the Garden of Eden and were in optimum condition.
