Alex Krycek is a fictional character in the Fox Network science fiction-supernatural TV series "The X-Files". During the series, Krycek is played by Nicholas Lea. He is introduced in Season 2. He becomes a partner for FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder in the absence of his prior partner, Dana Scully. As the show progresses, Krycek becomes one of the show's primary antagonists. He appears subsequently in every season until Season 9. Krycek's personal and professional actions frequently pit him against Mulder. They share a complicated relationship. Krycek is variously seen as either a henchman or enemy of the show's primary antagonist, The Smoking Man, changing his allegiance as needed.
"The X-Files" was created by Chris Carter. It revolves around FBI agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson).
