Alexander Pushkin is one of the most famous Russian poets who is considered the founder of modern Russian literature. He was born in Moscow and published his first poem at the age of 15. Being a novelist of the Romantic era, Pushkin wrote a lot of novels in verse, such as Eugene Onegin.

Pushkin was fatally wounded in duel with the man who tried to seduce the poet's wife and died on the 10th of February, 1831.
