American performing artist Justin Timberlake is a former member of which boy band?
NSYNC (also known as *NSYNC or 'N Sync) was an American boy band formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1995. The group consisted of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass.
The group's second album, "No Strings Attached" (2000), sold over one million copies in one day and 2.4 million copies in one week, which was a record for over fifteen years. Their third album "Celebrity" (2001) debuted with 1.8 million copies in its first week in the United States. Singles such as "Bye Bye Bye", "This I Promise You", "Girlfriend", "Pop" and "It's Gonna Be Me" reached the top 10 in several international charts, with the last being a U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number one.
'N Sync last recorded new material in 2002. The five members have reunited a couple of times, including at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards and to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Justin Timberlake (b. 1981) went on to become a multiple Grammy Award winner throughout his successful solo career.
For three years at the turn of the millennium and at the height of his 'N Sync days, Timberlake and fellow pop star Britney Spears were the trophy-collecting, denim-wearing couple of youthful American pop culture.
