As of 2021, Samuel L. Jackson, who became 72 years old in 2020, has acted in six films directed by Quentin Tarantino. He has played all manner of roles for Tarantino. Beginning as one of the main characters (Jules Winnfield) of "Pulp Fiction" (1994), he switched gears a little to take on the role of one of Jackie Brown's primary villains (Ordell Robbie) in "Jackie Brown" (1997). A few years later, their collaborations were reduced to a minor cameo as Rufus in "Kill Bill Volume 2" (2004) and a brief, but vital, voice-only appearance in "Inglorious Basterds" (2009). Later in their shared screen career, Tarantino and Jackson reunited for the actor to take on the part of Stephen Warren, a vital villain in the 2012 film "Django Unchained", before playing the hero, Major Marquis Warren, of 2015's gory siege Western "The Hateful Eight".
Jackson is the actor that most people instantly identify with Quentin Tarantino. It is true that no actor has appeared in more Tarantino films than Jackson.
