"Being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble" is a quote from the 1994 film "Lion King". The quote is spoken by Mufasa, voiced by James Earl Jones, in the film which is directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff. It was produced by Don Hahn, and has a screenplay credited to Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts, and Linda Woolverton. Its original songs were written by composer Elton John and lyricist Tim Rice, with a score by Hans Zimmer. An incredibly talented ensemble voice cast is used.

In "The Lion King", Mufasa (Jones) is a good, wise king. He doesn't force his subordinates or try to seduce them to do his bidding. After Simba (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) and his friend, Nala, go on a little misadventure to the elephant graveyard, Mufasa rescues them from the dastardly hyenas. Mufasa will then set his son straight with good discipline.

Mufasa sees Simba's disobedience as a learning opportunity and teaches him that kings aren't the animal equivalent of swashbuckling adventurers. Mufasa will provide kingly advice and wrestle with his headstrong son, a little lion cub. The above quote is offered in a timely way.

Simba's wicked uncle, Scar (Jeremy Irons), will plot to usurp Mufasa. He will try to lure Mufasa and Simba into a stampede of wildebeests. Simba will escape; Mufasa is killed. When Simba becomes an adult (Matthew Broderick), he will act in a brave way to get his homeland back. Simba's friends Timon (Nathan Lane) and Pumbaa (Ernie Sabella) help him to fight Scar.
