Do bees have noses?

Bees do not have noses; they smell with their feet and antennae. Bees, like all insects, do not have noses with nasal passages. They breathe through spiracles in the sides of their bodies which lead to trachea. Their sense of smell, which is many times more sensitive than ours, is from sensors on their antennae.

Did you know that honey bees have noses? Well, they do. At least they have structures that function much like our noses. These remarkable insects have been the subject of study for many years.

If the question means an actual structure with two nostrils, the answer is NO. If the question means can they detect odors with specialized body parts, that is a different question.

David Roy, LOL Reminds me of a Scooby Doo episode that had the kids going to a "haunted house" that was in Shaggy's family. There were portraits on the wall and Shaggy said the looked similar because "noses run in our family". At which Scooby snickered at him. Too funny.
