Herbert Dickens Ryman (June 28, 1910 – February 10, 1989), Disney artist, personal friend of Walt Disney and chief designer of the Cinderella Castle, chose eight named architectural masterpieces that inspired his plans for Cinderella’s fairytale fortress. Since 1971 Cinderella’s Castle has become the poster-castle for modern day fairy tales, (for mainstream America that is because we all know these fairy tale castles were around long before Walt). The eight castles modeled were: Neuschwanstein Castle, Château de Chenonceau,Château de Pierrefonds, Château de Chambord,Château de Chaumont, Alcázar of Segovia, Moszna Castle, and Palace of Fontainebleau.

Your link does not say there was only eight it only says castles that inspired. I have found another site that says there ten (10) that inspired the design: Cinderella Castle was inspired by a variety of real and fictional palaces. These included Fontainebleau, Versailles and the châteaux of Chenonceau, Pierrefonds, Chambord and Chaumont, as well as Castle Neuschwanstein, Bavaria, the Alcázar of Segovia in Spain and also the Moszna Castle in Poland which was built in the 18th century, in addition to the Tyn Church in Prague, Czech Republic, which was built in the 14th century ....... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinderella_Castle

Very obscure indeed and totally impossible to justify that it was 8 and not 10 or 12 or 20! And in any event, most people would assume that it was most likely to have been Neuschwanstein Castle.

Your answer needs more research. There were 10 castles used..The question needs to be rephrased (“at least 8 castles used as inspiration”) or deleated.

The correct answer is ten the eight buildings given and also: the Moszna Castle in Poland, built in the 18th century, and the Tyn Church in Prague, Czech Republic, built in the 14th century.
